These FAQs are here to help you find the information you need, when you need it, but you can always contact AskBU if you’d like to talk to someone in person, by phone or email, or if you have feedback about the FAQs.
Before you apply for your accommodation, you can visit the campus and get a feel for the local area, but you will not be able to view inside the Halls of Residence, as they are occupied by current students. You can view pictures of sample bedrooms and communal areas for each of our accommodation options on our website.
If you would like to come and view the buildings and surroundings you can come along and take a self-guided tour at our Talbot or Lansdowne campus. We offer an open campus policy during working hours and you can collect a self-guided tour booklet from one of our reception desks when you arrive, or download them in advance.
The Lansdowne Campus is where the majority of our Halls of Residence are located – Chesil House, Purbeck House, Lyme Regis House, Dorchester House, Bailey Point, Belaton House and Cranborne House.
The Talbot Campus is home to the Student Village. You’ll be able to get a feel for the area and see where each of the accommodation blocks are in relation to other university buildings and what facilities you have close by.
Alternatively, we host a number of Undergraduate Open Days, where you will be able to find out more about the courses, take a tour of the campus and visit accommodation.
