508 How do I apply for accommodation?
New or prospective students - you can find information on how to register for your BU accommodation on our how to book accommodation page. Please be aware you will only be able to access our accommodation portal if you have accepted BU as your firm choice (either conditional or unconditional)
Returning students - our accommodation options for current students page lists all of the available options for second, third and fourth year students.
514 When do I have to make the payment to secure my room?
Conditional Firm Offer Holders
Once you have reserved your room, you will not need to make a payment until your offer becomes Unconditional Firm (UF). For details about when you can reserve a room, please visit our How to book accommodation webpage
Unconditional Firm (UF) Holders:
If you have booked a room in a BU Managed property - Dorchester House, Student Village, or Unilets - you will be required to pay your "Rent Instalment 1" at the time of booking to secure your room.
If you have booked a room in one of our partner halls, the accommodation provider will contact you within 5 days of you making your booking to arrange taking your payment.

562 I have lost my log in details for the Accommodation Portal. Can you help?
Your username and password were emailed to you when you applied to BU.
Your username for the BU Accommodation Portal is your BU student reference number with an 's' in front of it. For example: s5****** followed by @bournemouth.ac.uk. If you cannot remember your password, you will be able to reset your password via the Password Reset Tool.
