Graduation - CERTIFICATE NOT RECEIVED YET
Dear ,
Thank you for your enquiry. We are sending certificates in “batches” by ceremony date. This can take some time at this time of year and if you have requested for us to send yours to an address which is not in the UK, it will take longer to arrive.
If you do not receive your certificate by 31st January 2024, please email studentlifecycle@bournemouth.ac.uk

Graduation - Guest tickets not received

Thank you for your enquiry regarding your Graduation this week.
Guest Tickets
If you have not received the email with your guest tickets please remember tickets will have been sent to the email address you registered at the time of purchase. Please also make sure that you check your junk / spam.
If you still cannot find the email, please visit the BIC Box Office (BIC Box Office Opening Hours) at least 1.5 hours before your Graduation Ceremony starts with evidence of purchase of tickets; a member of staff at the Box Office should be able to print the tickets for you. If you or your guests wish to go on the day of the ceremony, please make sure that you go in plenty of time before the ceremony starts.

I have booked tickets for the wrong ceremony / I need to purchase extra tickets
You should contact the BIC directly via their Box Office. Alternatively, you can go to the BIC prior to the day of your ceremony or if this is on the day, visit 1.5 – 2 hours before the ceremony starts.

Graduation - Additional guest tickets
Dear
Following the graduation registration deadline, an email was sent to everyone who registered on Thursday 12th October with details regarding how to purchase extra tickets. The email was sent to the email address we have registered for you. All additional tickets will be booked via BH Live and will cost £15 each, Children under 12 are free, but everyone attending the event must show a valid ticket on the day of the ceremony.

Graduation - General response (when will I receive my invitation, tickets, gowns, certificates etc) LIVE AS AT 21 JULY 2023

Thank you for your enquiry regarding Graduation 2023.
Students who are eligible to attend Graduation in November 2023 will receive an email inviting them to register during September. In the meantime, please have a look at the latest information provided on our Graduation page which includes such things as gown hire and FAQs. This page will be updated throughout the coming months as soon as the latest information has been finalised. This includes the purchasing of tickets.

Graduation - Name change 23.2.24 awaiting for update from Lifecycle

Your Award Certificates will be printed using your full legal name (including middle names) as recorded on the student record system at the time the results were ratified at the Assessment Board. You can check your name on MyHub under the ‘Personal Details’ section and if your name is incorrect please check below to find out if/how you can get this changed.
All students invited to Graduation will have been notified of the deadline for notifiying us of any change of name and information will have been provided on MyHub.
You should advise us of any change of name before Monday 7th October 2024
To update your name in time for it to be corrected for your graduation and award certificate, please contact AskBU before your Assessment Board has taken place with an item from the following list:
• Passport
• Birth certificate
• Statutory declaration
• Deed poll (change of name deed)
• Marriage certificate
• Civil partnership certificate
• Divorce decree absolute
Transgender Policy Name Change
We will need your current ID, for example a passport see the Student Names policy above for acceptable evidence and a statutory declaration relating to the name change. You will not need to supply a Gender Reassignment Certificate.

Graduation - Invitations : WHY HAVE I NOT HAD MY INVITE LIVE as at 28 September 2023

Graduation invitations are continuing to be sent out throughout September.
Please be aware that although your if friends may have already received theirs, this does not mean you should have received yours at the same time so you will need to be patient whilst invitations continue to be sent. Please make sure that you check your personal and university emails regularly including checking through your junk / spam emails.

As the gown order deadline has now passed, you are advised to turn up as early as possible on the day of your ceremony and speak to Ede and Ravenscroft in the Solent Hall at the BIC. Ede and Ravenscroft take a sufficient number of spare gowns to each ceremony and will be able to take payment for the gown on the day. Please be aware that this could lengthen your preparation time.

Graduation - Timings
Dear ,
Thank you for your enquiry regarding planning your graduation ceremony.
Your graduation ceremony will have a duration of approximately 90 minutes. However, you should allocate time both before and after your ceremony when planning your day.
When you arrive at the BIC make your way to the Solent Hall to collect your gown and have your professional photographs taken (if you have chosen to have them). We recommend arriving 2 hours before your ceremony to allow ample time for this.
After the ceremony you can meet your family, friends and lecturers in the Purbeck Hall for a glass of fizz and entertainment, this part of the day lasts for about an hour.
