FAQ 3128
Timetable changes after release

It is recognised that many students have part-time work commitments and/or childcare arrangements and changes to their timetables may be disruptive. Therefore once the timetable has been finalised any subsequent changes should be minimised.

Where a timetable change request is made – usually due to an unforeseen circumstance – the Head of Department reviews this prior to the change taking place. Minimum notification should be a post on Brightspace for the students affected.

On occasion a timetabled teaching session may need to be changed or postponed within 24 hours of the teaching session – this is usually due to illness or an emergency. Should this be necessary the lecturer should notify affected students as soon as possible to provide the maximum notice period possible. This will be via email and SMS for a postponement or via email and/or Brightspace for any other change to the session.
