All over 25 year olds in the UK, including international students, are now eligible to book a vaccination with the NHS. The UK NHS vaccination programme is also due to offer everyone over 18, including international students, a 1st dose by the end of July 2021.
This means that any international student over 25 is now eligible for a 1st dose (if you haven’t already had one) or a 2nd dose (if you have had your 1st dose). To make an appointment you should register with a GP; this will ensure you are included in the invitations that go out to patients centrally or locally.
Previous overseas vaccination? If you have received a first dose overseas that is also available in the UK, you should receive the same vaccine for your second dose provided you meet UK eligibility criteria. Check your eligibility either by asking your GP surgery or via the NHS Coronavirus (Covid-19) web page.
