FAQ 2855
Are there alternatives to seeking support other than face-to-face?

Yes, Big White Wall (BWW) is a digital mental health support service which is available online, 24/7, and is completely anonymous so you can express yourself freely and openly. Professionally trained Wall Guides monitor the community to ensure the safety and anonymity of all members.

To use BWW you just need to create an account using your Bournemouth University (BU) email address (but don't worry, your identity will be kept completely anonymous). This is a free service for students which has been paid for by BU.

To sign up, follow these steps:

> Visit the Big White Wall website and click the "Join Us" button on the homepage.

> Under the Organisation category, use the drop-down list to select Universities and click "Next" . You do not need to pay for a private subscription.

> Enter your BU email address and click "Next".

> Complete the online form and click "Sign up". Please note; you do need to agree to the terms and privacy, but you do not need to allow sharing of your records; this is optional.

> You then just need to check your BU email account for an email from BWW, and follow the link to complete registration.
