The Graduate Skills Programme is an employability programme open to all current students. The programme helps you to understand key skills in demand from today’s graduate employers and be able to know how you can develop these skills and then articulate them confidently when applying for a job.
The GSP connects you to employers through a series of graduate skills masterclasses and industry visits, offers tailored online learning pathways, and allows you to record and be recognised for your extra-curricular activities. This programme is managed by the CareersBU team and is endorsed by our industry partners IBM, LUSH, 3-Sided Cube, BCP Council, Mazars and University Hospitals Dorset (UHD)
Accessing the Graduate Skills Programme
You need to register for the programme via the registration form.
Once you have completed the form and have answered some Career Thinking Questions, you will be able to access your exclusive Graduate Skills+ workflow on My Career Hub. You can access your personalised workflow on MyCareerHub: https://bit.ly/BUGraduateSkillsAward. This is the link to use to log in when completing the award.
The Graduate Skills+ Award is made up of 4 stages which you need to complete. The stages are based on the Career Readiness Model and are designed to suggest masterclasses and activities for you to complete at an appropriate point in your career planning journey. The minimum requirement to complete the award is to complete 3 activities per stage.
Once all four stages have been completed, you will automatically receive your Graduate Skills+ Award certificate and be invited to an awards ceremony.
Once you sign up via the registration form, you will start to receive weekly emails from the Graduate Skills Programme team with suggested activities and masterclasses to attend.
If you are having any issues accessing your workflow or have any questions, you can email graduateskills@bournemouth.ac.uk.
