I am an international student with a Student visa. Can I take a break from my studies during term-time?
You are on a full time face to face programme, we can’t approve students to leave the country for any period of time during teaching, students should plan their visits home during the set breaks detailed in the academic timetable. Additionally, I understand you are not allowed to submit work from abroad due to this being a face to face programme and your visa being dependent upon you needing to be here to study.
Please also note, attendance is now being monitored much more closely than before. Therefore, if you are not registering your attendance you will receive correspondence from the visa engagement team relating to this.
Having said all of that we cannot stop you from leaving however this may impact your visa and consequently your studies and ability to remain on the programme. Please seek further advice from the Immigration Team they can be contacted on immigration@bournemouth.ac.uk.
