Recognition of Prior Learning and UK Credit Transfer

Bournemouth University (BU) recognises that our current and future students may possess a range of skills and knowledge obtained from a variety of settings for which they may be able to seek academic credit. The skills and knowledge must be relevant to the BU course they wish to seek credit for and at the right academic level. The processes which allow us to recognise and award academic credit are called Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and UK Credit Transfer (UKCT).

For further information on these processes, please see the Guidance for Applicants: Recognition of Prior Learning and UK Credit Transfer, which can be found under the Admissions section on the Important Information webpage.
