What is University Music?
University Music is part of BU's Culture and Sport department and sits within Student Services. We have a close partnership with the Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) to provide a considerable number of exciting musical opportunities for students, staff and the local community.
We have practice rooms and a variety of rehearsal and performance spaces around the BU and AUB campuses. We also perform in external venues across the South of England.
We offer three choirs, a string ensemble and a concert band which meet weekly during term-time and perform a comprehensive programme of concerts and recitals throughout the year. Membership of all ensembles are free for BU and AUB students.
Individual music lessons are also available for students and can be taken weekly or fortnightly to suit your budget. Music scholarships are offered to suitably qualified applicants and more details can be found online.
