For this support, students would need to have DSA (Disabled Student Allowance in place and have had this identified in their Needs Assessment. BU will also need to be their designated provider.
Specialist, specifically tailored one to one support which helps you to address your barriers to learning created by:
• a particular impairment e.g. a mental health condition or ADHD
• an autistic spectrum condition
This includes coping with anxiety and stress issues; dealing with concentration difficulties; prioritising workload and creating a work-life balance; helping you to recognise the barriers to your learning created by your impairment and providing support to develop strategies for addressing these barriers.
ALS Mentoring can be accessed by applying for Disabled Student's Allowance (DSA) via Student Finance), you can contact the ALS Team at 01202 965663 or als@bournemouth.ac.uk to discuss how to apply for this fund if you are unsure.
